PLUMBING TIPS
To help keep mold to a minimum in your bathroom, remember to turn on the exhaust fan while you shower and keep it running for awhile after your shower is over.
Does your shower not seem to have the water pressure it used to? Try filling a baggie with vinegar, placing over the whole shower head and secure with a rubber band. Leave it overnight. This will help dislodge build-up and increase your water pressure.
Tried everything to clean your glass shower doors with no Success? Try this. Spray Resolve spot remover for carpets Wipe with a sponge and rinse off the soap scum! |

ELECTRICAL TIPS
Sometimes when you need to replace an outdoor light bulb it has corroded and cannot be removed. To avoid this, apply a thin layer of Vaseline around the threads of the light bulb before you screw it in the socket. This helps keep moisture away and prevent corrosion. |

APPLIANCE CARE
If you use dryer sheets you will want to hear this! When you use dryer sheets they leave a film on the lint filter of your dryer. You cannot see this film, but if you run water over it the water should run through, not pool at all on the surface. If the water does pool it needs to be cleaned with warm soapy water (dish soap) and a small brush (a tooth brush works). This builds up over time and can not only burn out the heating unit of your dryer, it could cause a fire! You should clean the screen filter at least every six months. This will not only save the heating unit of your dryer it will make your dryer last longer and save on energy. It could very well prevent the chance of a fire too!
This hint will make cleaning your microwave so much easier. Place a water soaked sponge inside the microwave and cook on HIGH for two minutes. Leave sponge inside and wait five minutes. After the five minutes the dirt should be loosened and easily wiped up with the sponge. |

GENERAL HOME HINTS
Sitting by the fire in the winter can be so lovely, but When Spring comes that source of beauty may not have the best aroma. To help eliminate this odor, crumple up newspaper and fill the fireplace. Leave it there for a few days, then discard the paper.
The crayon artist in your house finds the walls a great canvas? Don’t worry. W-D 40 will take it off, as well as any stickers that appear on other surfaces. |
